Save Mart celebrated the grand reopening of its remodeled Ripon store on April 29 with a community event recognizing the store’s new upgrades, expanded services and continued investment in the local community.

The Save Mart store, located at 1453 Goodwin Drive in Ripon, has been updated with a fresh new look and several expanded departments designed to improve the shopping experience for local customers.

The remodeled store now features a full-service butcher block and seafood counter, an expanded service deli with grab-and-go meal options, a refreshed bakery cake case, an on-site sushi chef and expanded fresh produce offerings. Customers will also find prepared produce items such as fruit parfaits, guacamole and salsa, along with a larger wine and spirits selection and new self-checkout stations.

“Our customers in Ripon have made this store an important part of the community, and we’re proud to introduce these new upgrades and expanded services for them,” said Bobby McDowell, Save Mart’s vice president of store operations. “We’re excited to celebrate with our neighbors and to continue serving this community for years to come.”

The grand reopening celebration also brought together several local agencies and community partners, including Lathrop Police Department, Manteca Police Department, Ripon Dispatch, Ripon Fire and San Joaquin County District Attorney Ron Freitas.

As part of the celebration, Save Mart hosted a friendly “Heroes Bagging Showdown” and shopping spree benefiting local nonprofit organizations. Participants included Second Harvest of the Greater Valley, the San Joaquin County Family Justice Center Foundation and The Healthy Room Project. The organizations shopped for food and gift cards to support their missions and received additional gift cards to help further their community programs.

The Ripon Chamber of Commerce also recognized the milestone on social media, praising the store’s updated look and continued investment in the community.

“From the fresh new look to the enhanced shopping experience, their transformation truly reflects a continued commitment to serving our community,” the Ripon Chamber of Commerce shared following the event. “We’re grateful to be part of this exciting milestone and to support a business that continues to invest in Ripon.”

The Save Mart Companies operates more than 200 stores across California, western Nevada, Oregon and Washington under the Save Mart, Lucky, FoodMaxx, Roth’s and Chuck’s Fresh Market banners.

Ripon residents are encouraged to stop by the remodeled Save Mart store and experience the new upgrades firsthand.
