A comprehensive renovation project is transforming the Ripon Senior Center into a more inviting community space, with work now in full swing under the direction of Estate Design & Construction, Inc.

The federally-funded project, which kicked off on February 3, includes the installation of a metal pergola shade structure, new windows and doors, and a complete exterior makeover with fresh paint and siding.

The improvements also extend to the outdoor areas, featuring updated landscaping and irrigation systems.

According to the City of Ripon's Spring 2025 newsletter, the renovations, funded through a Community Development Block Grant, are on track for completion in May.

The project's roots trace back to March 2019, when SKW & Associates designed plans for a 1,300-square-foot outdoor seating area on the southeast corner of the facility at 433 S. Wilma Ave. Preparations for the renovation began taking shape in October 2022 with the purchase of the shade structure, light fixtures, and ceiling fans.

Estate Design & Construction, Inc., which won the contract in November, is overseeing all aspects of the transformation. The improvements aim to create a more comfortable and welcoming environment for local seniors who rely on the center for activities and services.
